Antigua residence by investment scheme

The Antigua and Barbuda Government has launched a new “Nomad Digital Residence” program for travelers, who can work  remotely from a a safe Caribbean country with a accessible digital infrastructure. This scheme is similar to residence scheme launched by Barbados allowing HNW nomads to work from beaches

All successful applicants will be issued a 2 year resident visa in Antigua and Barbuda.

Antigua and Barbuda offers 365 palm-fringed beaches, incredible adventure activities, delicious local cuisine, and an island-life mentality to reset, refresh and reboot the minds of working professionals.

Antigua and Barbuda remains one of the Covid-19 safe countries in the Caribbean, which officially reopened to UK travelers at the start of August 2020.

How to apply?

Applicants must submit applications NDR Unit within the Immigration Department, paying the prescribed fee and satisfying

  • Criminal record police certificate
  • Proof of income of a minimum of $50,000 per year
  • Medical insurance coverage
  • Evidence of self or employment.

Fees

The fee for Nomad digital residence visa is as follows

  • Single applicant: US$1,500.00;
  • Couple US$2,000.00;
  • Family of 3 and over: US$3,000.00

Visa decisions are taken within 2 weeks and will be communicated by email and issued upon arrival. The NDR visa does not allow the holder or dependents to work for any company or organisation doing business in Antigua and Barbuda.

Digital Nomad residents are expected to comply with the public health protocols in place regarding COVID-19 (Coronavirus) including being tested for the virus as a condition of entry.

Conditions

Under this scheme, Applicants are not allowed to work for any entity of any kind in Antigua and Barbuda, nor to derive any income from any entity in Antigua and Barbuda. The visa can be revoked if the applicant (a) commits a crime (b) violates the terms of the Visa, or (c) is found to conduct themselves in a manner inimical to the country’s interests.

No personal income tax is payable to Antigua and Barbuda.
