The Government of Nauru has blacklisted following countries applying for climate resilience citizenship by investment program as a part of international sanctions.
- Belarus,
- North Korea,
- Iran,
- Myanmar (Burma)
- Russia,
- Afghanistan,
- Sudan, and
- Yemen.
Exceptions: An exception may be granted if the applicant has not lived in above prohibited countries as a permanent resident for at least 10 years and has no economic ties to them.
