TheMinister of Economy, Luis Caputo announced commencement of the CBI program in fourth quarter of 2024. Investment Conditions
The Argentine CBI Program, which will be operational to receive applications in the course of the fourth quarter of 2026, proposes two simple and transparent mechanisms:
- Direct and non-refundable contribution to the National Treasury for USD 350,000; or
- Subscribe a public title of USD 800,000 created specifically for this Program.
Additional fee USD 100,000 (per person) for inclusion of spouse and children over 18. Additional DD fee, agency fee may also apply to all applications.
Security checks
Due diligence, financial transparency and risk management standards will be incorporated in line with OECD and FATF recommendations. Applications will be subject to a rigorous assessment process aimed at preserving the national security, integrity of the financial system and the international prestige of Argentine citizenship. All funds comply with applicable standards for asset laundering prevention, terrorist financing and financial transparency.
Process
The CBI process includes, among other aspects, identity verification, traceability and legality of the origin of the funds, heritage and financial analysis, judicial risk assessment, criminal and reputational background review, as well as the immigration history of applicants. After the evaluation, the Agency will send its recommendation to the National Directorate of Migration that will be the body responsible for approving or rejecting each application.
