The Much Awaited Argentina citizenship by investment program is expected to launch in 2026. Argentina first announced the launch of citizenship program for significant investments through a Decree 524/2025 published July 30, 2025
Legal Basis
Decree 366/25 amended Citizenship Law 346, will be granted citizenship by naturalization without any residence requirements. The minium investment threshold and sectors expected to be announced in 2026.
CBI Agency
The Government will be forming a special citizenship by investments program agency will issue a report recommending to the National Directorate of Immigration the approval or rejection of the request.

The Ministry of Economy will be responsible for determining which investments will be considered significant. The National Directorate of Migration (DNM), under the Ministry of the Interior, will begin processing naturalization applications for foreigners who decide to become Argentine citizens and meet the requirements.
Minimum Investments
The Minimum investment and investment areas to be announced soon by the government after appointing the master agent.
The Master agent will be appointed through a tender who will provide Consulting and technical assistance service for the Citizenship by Investment Program to APCI agency

Security Checks
The Argentine Government will do necessary security checks on applicants for investments consulting for criminal background and source of money. A CUIT (tax ID) will be issued to approved investors by Argentina’s Revenue and Customs Control Agency.
