The Government Antigua and Barbuda has signed a Visa Waiver agreement with the United Arab Emirates (UAE), The formal signing took place on the margins of the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly. Antigua and Barbuda’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, the E.P. Chet Greene, and the UAE’s Minister of State for International Cooperation, Reem bint Ebrahim Al Hashimy.
The Visa free deal is expected to further boost Emirati investment while enabling Antiguans and Barbudans to benefit from easier access to the UAE for business, culture, and education (previously eVisa to UAE was required). Citizens of both nations will benefit from expanded travel, investments, cultural ties and business opportunities.

In 2025, Antiguan and Barbudan citizens had visa-free or visa on arrival access (including eTAs) to 152 countries and territories, ranking the Antigua and Barbuda passport 25th in the world in terms of travel freedom.
