On Sep 16, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Kristi Noem has announced that Hungary will have its status in the Visa Waiver Program (VWP) fully restored, following the completion of steps taken to address security vulnerabilities. Hungarians will be able to apply for an ESTA with a two-year validity period which can be used for multiple entries by September 30, 2025. The ESTA Visa Waiver Program facilitates secure travel between the United States and Hungary.
