St Kitts and Nevis

The Government of St. Kitts and Nevis is committed to safeguarding the integrity and sustainability of the Citizenship by Investment (CBI) Program, which remains a cornerstone of the nation’s economic framework. The Prime Minister of Saint Kitts and Nevis, highlighted the importance of robust governance within the CBI framework, introducing unprecedented reforms designed to enhance accountability and transparency.

“Our standards dictate that we ensure robust due diligence and that no questionable actors exploit our program,”

– Prime Minister, Dr. Terrance Drew

Continued Due Diligence

One of the key measures introduced is the concept of continuous due diligence, a groundbreaking policy requiring ongoing and repeated assessments of both applicants and projects. This ensures that any anomalies or concerns are promptly identified and addressed, bolstering the credibility of the program.

Underselling

Underselling, a practice that undermines the integrity of the program, has been criminalized under new regulations. This pioneering move makes St. Kitts and Nevis the first country in the region to enforce such a measure. SKN is the only government in the region to make underselling a criminal offense, empowering the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) to investigate and prosecute those who seek to defraud the system. This reform ensures that all transactions meet the highest ethical and legal standards, protecting the nation’s reputation and ensuring maximum benefit to its citizens.

CBI Revenues

CBI revenue has been responsibly utilized to fund infrastructure projects, improve social programs, and provide direct financial benefits to citizens. government remains unwavering in its commitment to transparency, The new reforms align with the government’s broader vision of building a resilient and sustainable economy under the Sustainable Island State Agenda, preserving its benefits for future generations.

Passport Security

St. Kitts and Nevis has officially launched its state-of-the-art passport system, a major advancement in national security as part of the government’s 4th Generation Border Management System, which is designed to protect citizens and secure national borders with multiple anti-counterfeit features. This initiative is a cornerstone in our plan to modernize St. Kitts and Nevis.

By integrating the latest technology, we not only enhance our security measures but also position ourselves as a leader in the region.

– PM Drew

The new passports are designed to withstand tampering, making them among the most secure in the Caribbean region.

Streamlined Applications

The SKN has introduced streamlined CBI application process for obtaining citizenship within 3-4 months makes it particularly appealing for those looking to diversify their residency options and protect their assets.
